The book of Ruth tells of the Moabite woman Ruth, who accepts the God of the Israelites, as her God and accepts the Israelite people as her own. In Ruth 1:16–17, Ruth tells Naomi, her Israelite mother-in-law, "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.

Great story of Faith and Trust in the Lord. That although we may be tempted to follow the way of the world, or choose the easier and familiar path like Orphah did, we would show greater loyalty to the Lord with the path that isn't always clear, less taken and difficult. That we would know that God's Providence ultimately has the final say and that whatever happens to us, we know that Christ has already won the Victory. God bless
