Heavily perfumed people are also offensive.

This story doesn't add up and the media aren't even trying to get to the truth of the matter.

News reporters never get to the bottom of the story these days

How many other black men were not removed from the flight?

For those saying that they probably smelled like weed, that's a lot better than smelling like a wet dog.

More to the story. This doesn't add up. In todays super hyper sensitive climate, no company wants to be accused of racism.

Seen these men get discriminated and kicked out of their flight is just disrespectful

I’m sure it wasn’t body odor, it was probably weed. That smell in a confined space is horrible.

I’m sure the airlines has a policy for smell.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, happens on an aircraft without the permission of the captain. This means all flight attendants, whomever was the supervising flight attendant, the captain and co-pilot, plus the American Airlines staff at the gate knew and accepted what was happening and why. That American Airlines has the nerve to corporate-speak about "core" values without sufficient pushback from every single corporate news agency attests to the times in which we live. Core values are demonstrated by each and every American Airlines employee, the companies and people they contract with, every single time they interact with the public. This incident (and many, many others in the past) demonstrates their "core" values are only worth the cost of the ink to print it on a manual somewhere.

8 black men unrated gets kicked off flight for one person’s smell and people don’t think that’s discrimination? 😭🤡

If they stink, then the airlines is right.

my sympathy goes out to the passengers who had to smell them. he just said there were other black people on the plane who weren’t asked to deboard. so how is it racial??

Odor is a serious concern onboard a passenger aircraft. If anyone stinks they will never hesitate to boot you. Doesn’t matter who it is. Bathe before you fly, nasty. Taking this to court is laughable.

I wonder what the odor was that the Flight Attendant smelled? Like an unwashed odor? Did they smell like Marijuana?
I’m a Black Woman and I think the smell of weed stinks really bad and it’s strong. A lot of people that smoke don’t notice they’re like nose blind to the smell. The Men in my family all bathe daily and use cologne. They don’t smoke at all. This is unusual unless they smoke weed.

I’m still waiting for my chance to sue someone, some company, some entity, anything, for gazillions, but it hasn’t happened yet.

African Americans: Choose not to fly American. Ever. Fly Frontier or Spirit.

Whites and others: Keep flying American. There seems to be no problem with you there.

Now there’s peace and harmony. Problem solved.
