"Middle class is just a hospital bill away from being poor" and that's an fact Unfortunately we never got a chance to realise how fortunate and privileged we are to have all the facilities and assets ... I used to think that my family is a middle class family but after this video I can accept I'm from a high income slab... Well, Mohak just surprises us with his every new video.... Thanks for a' Zor ka Jhatka Zor se laga' 😂

I remeber when people were outraged about Snapchat CEO saying that India is poor. He was right all along.

Finally someone said this! Most of us watching this video aren't from middle class families. Wealth inequality is extremely high in India.

My father's salary is 21k and 7.5k goes to emi because of loan(amount of loan 3lakh) he took for paying my education fees. Rest 3k goes to emi for Inverter because we have electricity problems and I bought it from scholarship I got by paying down payment of 7k . 5k goes to sister who's studying in banaras hindu University only her mess fees is around 4k . Remaining 1k she uses for herself. 3k goes to groceries and left 3k goes in everyday expenses and tution fees of my brother . There's barely any saving can be done but yet my father's is trying to help me to get educated.

Is it just me or the word 'middle-class' today is used just as a way of being 'relatable' to the masses and show it as an 'aesthetic' without knowing what it actually is?

I think i also belong from a lower middle class family as our monthly family income is near about 18-20k and my mother is a domestic helper. But thanks to my parents who paid attention to my education. My education didn't required a lot of money as i read in government school since childhood and currently doing my graduation from delhi university.
But now i feel privileged as i got quality education, a smartphone and the ability to uplift my family.

Edit: Thank you so much guys for this much of appreciation. I surely will succeed in life and also update this comment in the coming years. ❤

Nowadays, a person who has income more than 45k per month can't afford a home/flat in metro cities or nearby small cities.
I think while defining middle class, the salary range must be increased by considering the current inflation.

Someone talked about poverty and inequality in India. I hate when people from high income family call themselves middle class and it feels like lightening straight to heart of lower income people.

One crucial aspect is missing from your video. People earnings 40k in Metro cities like Mumbai or Delhi almost are almost equivalent to that earnings 25k in small towns. As price of commodities are substantially different in various Indian cities.

My father income is 60k but honestly speaking he is very miserable person he used to think of 10times even giving me a 20-30 rupees but I appreciate that he is doing very much effort to my studies I studies from ICSE board and friends it's not a small thing thankyou dad.❤️

I think the definition of middle class changes to the location where the person resides as well.
In a village, , 50k per month can be categorised as upper class
But in cities like mumbai, , it is not.

A educated person can change the course of future, truly said.
My grandparents were farmers, and then my dad received education. And he went to army, lowest post.
But with the help of his education, my two brothers are engineer and i am persuing MBBS.
I am so proud of my dad, i hope everyone who are struggling for basic needs become stable through education. It is the greatest weapon!

Nothing bad in being middle class, because here we get everything we need and also have the sense of respect for everything we get.

In Hyderabad I used to consider myself as middle class, when I went to village I realized that we are rich class, in villages having 1 crore asset makes them as very very rich class. But in cities, it's the price of the flat or plot.

2 years ago, my family wasn't middle class. It belonged to the lower class because my father's income from our small business was around 10k-12k (Yep, the situation was bad). After my brother got a nice job, our average salary has jumped to 35k (but my father's business was badly hit by the pandemic). I know it isn't much, but it's a lot for us.

My family's income is around 50k per month, but due to increasing inflation monthly expenses alone amounts to around 30k, also i feel this range is the most dangerous one, bcz in case of medical emergency we can't allow our relatives to suffer in a civil hospital but can't afford huge nursing home bills either 🤷‍♂️ one big medical bill away from poverty I feel
