In karate there are many grappling techniques as well as striking, this is a huge misconception.

Karate didn't actually have a gi when it was 1st created in Okinawa. If you look up historical photos of karate, they train basically in their underwear. It wasn't until the creator of shotokan adopted the gi from Judo did karate begin to be associated with a uniform

Nothing to do with the Gi, and you're wrong.

There is a misconception in the modern world that Karate in only striking, punching, kicking. That is shortsighted limited bigoted statement. KARATE is empty hands that uses all of that including, GRAPPLING, POKING, TWISTING JOINTS, BREAKING BONES and SKULL, THROWING, GRIPPING and TEARING FLESH. KARATE includes Jiu-jitsu IN ITS TOTALITY as a MARTIAL ART and USED ONLY WHEN YOUR LIFE is in DANGER = NEVER A SPORT. Okinawan KARATE-DO Style called GOJU0-RYU is such A STYLE.

Inaccurate ... I'm a practitioner of traditional Japanese Nippon Jiu Jitsuka... There are all kinds of strikes or Atemi wazas, for your information.

I’m sure this guy is good at what he does, but his karate technique leaves a lot to be desired.

I am a black belt in Shotokan karate, but I am not about to go make a video telling you what BJJ or Muay Thai is all about.

I like that you were doing no GI throws with a underhook instead of grip with the GI, while wearing a GI.

baloney. Plus Jiu Jitsu which is a branch off of Judo is NOT JuJutsu/Jujitsu. In jujitsu, we have punches kicks and blocks as well as many reverse joint grappling and throws. It is the perfect military self-defense art. Gracie Jiujitsu focuses mostly only on ground grappling takedowns and is not realistic in an attack on more than one attacker. Most Judo or Juijitsu Gi's are thicker for opponents grabbing onto for throws. Most Karate GI's are lighter.
