This is how I felt when I came home from living in Japan for 7 years. America is a weird place.

Read the comments didn't expected so many people love China, thank u guys for like China. Always welcome. And this video is so funny. Don't need to take it too serious

Lived in China for eight years. Returned to the UK in 2010 for kids' schooling. Have never settled and hate every second of it. Counting the days to when I can "go home" to the Far East. It's my honest opinion that if you've been gone for anything over five years, you'll never return - not really. And no 'repatriation course' is going to help.

This video covers some "negative" social experiences in China, e.g., smoking in public and the "Great Fire Wall". I see in the comments that many Chinese viewers got triggered by such depictions. As a Chinese myself, I totally understand their feelings but must say they are still in the middle of getting through their shares of "culture shock" in a world of free speech. The point is, the depiction here, even about the negative experiences, is rather friendly than critic. The tone of their performance is like "i am missing all these 'freedoms' I enjoyed in China" rather than morally accusing or hostilely mocking at them. I guess it will take some more time for them to understand.

Haha this is so accurate! I must not have lived in China long enough because I still can't do that deep squat. Their response to the word "tip" had me in tears. Only thing missing is trying to pay with wechat. Great stuff guys!

That time I crossed a road at the crosswalk without a light and a car actually stopped and waited for me to cross. That's when realized I wasn't in China anymore.

I got reverse WAY worse than I ever got culture shock... kept forgetting to say "a" and "the".

I just got back from a year living in Taiwan and this is so relatable hahaha right when I came back to the US I used to always forget my seatbelt, look both ways before crossing the street, and the worst thing was that for some reason I had an accent when speaking English... most of my reverse culture shock has gone away by now, but I think one lasting thing was the fact that no matter where I am or how close I'm standing to someone, I'll always speak REALLY REALLY LOUDLY. Even though I had to lose these habits in order to fit back in, I'll have to say I miss being able to haggle!!

I'm from nyc and I've tried to bargain down the food cart guys... they'll usually give you a discount if they're blatantly inflating it at touristy places :)
