Hello Richard. I have got a job offer as a project manager this week. I am very happy. I have struggled for 2 months going through many interviews and I received many crazy technical questions (applied for PM in software companies). At last one company wasn't interested in technical part, they were looking for a project manager to be a liaison between client and the company and to administrate the project. They liked me and the very next day I received a congratulations call. Thank you so much for your videos, I learned a lot watching them.

I've just had my telephone interview with Amazon and I've watched all your videos and they've helped so much even the hiring manager said she can tell I've done my homework :-) I find out in a few days if I progress to panel.

Hello Richard, thank you for everything you share. I learn a lot from you’re videos. My hardest issue in an interview is I get so nervous I fumble and find myself forgetting everything. I didn’t know it was professional when I take note that it’s okay to open my notebook and read from my notes . To answer these difficult questions.

I found a great question to ask is if the company has a pension plan. I once spoke to a manager i had been working for previously and he told me he found interviewees rarely asked about the company and when they did it was never about the pension and other benefits. I agree that the angle of asking for holidays is wrong, so the solution is asking about pension and benefits to show that you are in it for the long run. I've been getting good responses on that question and started in a new position today. This is in Norway, results may vary in different cultures of course.

Edit: After i finished i realized there's another great tip: go have a coffee with managers you have worked for. Great time to ask them if you can give their numbers to potential employers for a reference and that in its self is a great opportunity to segue the conversation into asking what it is like to be at their end of an interview, which always makes them talk about what they like and dislike with interviewees. Which results in them liking you more and talking you up even more when the potential employer phones them.

Hi Richard, a few of your answers especially work priority and working under pressure have an element of working overtime of staying behind. In my experience, there are employers who do not like that and consider that a red flag in candidates as it indicates that by always staying behind or doing OT they will get burned, stressed and start thinking of leaving.

I'm wondering if you have a chance to be the hire manager or the recruiter what type of question you're going to ask to the candidate?
I'm really excited to see a video like that
