Water Lily - The perfect afternoon sipper!

This light, bright and floral number was created by Richard Boccaro for a friend's wife in 2007.

And the words ring true- Happy Wife = Happy Life :)

INGREDIENTS
3/4 oz / 22.5 ml gin
3/4 oz / 22.5 ml Cointreau
3/4 oz / 22.5 ml violet syrup
3/4 oz / 22.5 ml lemon juice

I use Rothman & Winter creme de violette because it’s available locally.

My own riff: sub cointreau for Blue Curcao. This will make the drink a deep ocean color. Serve in a rocks glass on one big whiskey cube. Garnish with a broken luxardo cherry. Voila, “the Titanic”.

Why are you not using crème de violette? Just lowering the abv a bit?
