Living in Thailand, I have access to a LARGE pond that is 100% full of large leaf lillies.
My pond has one shelf. So my two choices are 2.5 feet or 5.5 feet deep. Which is better?
I'm probably gonna to put them into large pots. Then put them at both levels and make adjustments.
Basically the same methodology as land.... Try a spot. If it's dying, move it and put something else in that spot. I just keep buying plants and moving them until they find a "happy spot" and leave them alone. This is the best lilly clip I've seen.
Thank you for taking the time to share.

Thank you for the video! I had Lilly in my pond for 3 years and minimal growth and was nervous to fertilize them because of algae blooms. My 4th year because they were the only plant not growing in the pond and I fertilized them for me. It was the best move ever because now they thrive and grow very large. I feel like I don’t over fertilize I purchase fertilize sticks that you stick in the pot that last one season and it was like night and day for me, and I also treat my pond with natural bacteria due to the fish and it’s the best the paw has ever been, thank you very much for your very informative video, sir!

Thank you! I planted a water lily two years ago and as recommended I planted it in a pot with clay soil and a fertilizer tablet, it did amazing the first year. Last year I only had a few leaves so I was thinking that I would have to bring the pot up and refertilize it, but now I know I don’t have to do that, thank you. I’m not sure why I didn’t get any flowers last year but I’m just going to leave it be and see what happens this year.🌷💚🙃

Thank you so much for your advice. I have been religiously re-sinking my floating lily tubors for a few years - not my favourite job. Now I will leave them be .... all good wishes from Wales in the UK.

I've started some water lilies from seed and have had success germinating them but am having trouble finding info on what to do next! I potted them but don't have a pond. Looking for advice. ❤

Ours are 7 feet deep. It took 3 years to get them to grow that deep. Slowly lowering them with a float, then a couple years ago I just let them hit the bottom and in a year they made it to the top.

Great video I was wondering on using those cement tubs you find at Home Depot they are rubber and only cost 10.00 the side are only about 6 inch tall .Would these work for pots and was planning on sinking them at bottom of my 3 ft deep pond live in Ma.

My neighbor has a pond with 1000s of lillies, I tried to pull a few and snapped the tubers off about 1" down. Had concerns if they would live but I'm now satisfied that they will!

I live in the Colorado Rockies and am just starting to plant my pond with zone 5 appropriate plants. I want water lilies, but am concerned about over wintering. any special preparations? Do I sink them? Do I bring them inside?
