The irony of a show getting written off for tax and you still having to doctor the footage and audio to avoid copyright

I feel really bad for this man. I really enjoyed Final Space for how interesting and intense it was despite its flaws. But of course a stupid merger just had to ruin everything. For what it’s worth, getting a graphic novel to conclude the story is better than not being able to finish it. I hope Olan is doing well despite all that has happened. He really didn’t deserve to have his dreams destroyed nor be forced to have the plot changed by the scum that is WB.

Oh no. The fact that all your hard work can't be preserved is a tragedy. I hope olan can finish final space one day.

Businesses should be able to able to write off shows but only by releasing them into the public domain.

Final Space season 4 should've been a slam dunk, but we get the saddest bleakest ending possible in season 3 followed by complete deletion

Honestly, I don't understand how tax write offs are even a thing, to dump away an already finished project of art to keep finances stable should be fuckin' illegal

Olan Rogers is such an insanely talented creative. If anyone hasn’t seen his pilot “Godspeed” yet, I can’t recommend it enough.

"are the executives stupid?" The answer to that question regardless of context is always YES.

This is the thing I’m afraid about being a movie director or show creator. My projects getting cancelled for no reason, or being rejected and never getting a chance to shine…

When artists tell you to pirate their stuff cause theirs no other way to watch it you KNOW we're in archival hell.

I met Olan once at a meet and greet in Dallas. By the time we shook his hand, he was clearly exhausted. But he still let us record a voicemail for my friend, even though we really weren’t supposed to. He is honestly a good dude, and his journey has been so heartbreaking. I hope he is able to crowdfund his works ad infinitum

As someone who wants to work in the animation industry as a creator, despite being as far from its core in the US as possible, I find the story of Final Space's production both very concerning and inspiring.

Here's hoping groups like the Animation Guild manage to fix a lot of the corruption that plagued the industry this decade.

Olan has my deepest respects. Man's been through thick and thin, but still tries to keep moving forward. Bless him... <3

OMG ... It's a good thing I saved my own copies of the Final Space episodes. Goes to show you don't own anything unless you [arrr] it.

I believe he said, after reading the list of things he could not do with this graphic novel, which really, is just a list to everything legal Warner Bros could do to make him give up the idea, he answers, and I won't be able to repeat verbatim "where you may see the limitations in this agreement, I see the opportunities", I have never respected him so much as I did that second after, I've never seen someone get by all means quite literally humiliated for wanting to be an artist, and taking all that in stride, instead, seeing the good side of that, this man is a giant, a real life inspiration, I know I could never

Olan Rogers is a devoted guy. Final space was amazing and it ended too early.

think both Warner bros discovery and Netflix have competition to see who is the worse company ever by cancelling shows and doing tax write-offs

personally never found Gary annoying, him and Avocado are my boys

Olan is the only reason I'm making anything these days... The Last Scene and New Prime STILL serve as inspirations for how much can be done with so little. The importance, the necessity, of heart.
