Worse than Apple pay. Samsung's fingerprint sensors suck. Apple Pay will be supported by most retailers in the upcoming years, is far more easy than this, and is on a good phone.

If we're talking about security, how Samsung Pay works, where is this card info storaged?, works with a single time code like Apple pay?... It's a great idea but security over our money is first.

I'll just wait a couple months for the headlines "Samsung Pay Hacked, Millions Lost", because I can just imagine the insecurity of using the strip code reader as payment

You people are acting like apple was the first to do mobile payments when android as a whole has had google wallet since kit kat, if anything apple is the one copying google since both apple pay and google wallet work with NFC, and apple pay came way after google wallet. Yes Samsung could have picked a better name, but I applaud them for actually coming up with a new (and in my opinion better) way to do mobile payments. I honestly hope NFC+MST will become the standard for mobile payments, it appears (at least in this stage) to be the superior platform and I can't wait for other android phones to start coming with it! Iphones should expect to get it in 5 or so years.

this will be a flop when google rebrands wallet and preloads it onto every android phone.

Wow this is incredible ! I don't have to look around and ask if the store's terminal accepts NFC payments !

The problem with google wallet and Apple pay is getting retailers on board, is either disable or not working properly. Samsung pay sealed the deal. There's nothing they could do to block it

I wonder how will it work with automated machines at transit stations and parking garages. Most of the time, the readers require card to be inserted instead and if it does not have magstripe but only accept chip like some in Europe, what's the point of using MST?

I would of called it S Pay instead of Samsung Pay

Such an Apple Pay copy. Whenever Samsung copies Apple, it's always also crappier. Remember when they copied Touch ID?

This doesn't seem to be as secure as Apple pay and this also takes longer than just swiping the card.

It's weird, the whole wireless payment stuff... I've been doing it on my GS4 for over a year now... And everybody's just now freaking about about it?

I could do this with my galaxy s3 back in 2012, how is this new?

Uhhh. Most credit cards have the EMV chips that when you swipe the card on that black magnetic strip, it will tell you to directly use the EMV chips. This is useless.

How secure is this? Are they storing card details in the phone.once the phone is lost that's it. Apple is much more practical in a sense of security.
