The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach E Is Still A Competitive Pony Car Inspired EV

The controversial #FordMustangMachE was one of the first true competitors to the Tesla Model Y when it was introduced a couple years ago. The latest #MustangMachE has changed very little, but for those of you wanting an EV that offers style, tech, and a premium touch, #Ford has managed to keep the #MachE competitive over the years. We expect this car to possibly get a big refresh in 2025.

I've had my 2022 Mustang Mach-E for almost two years and have driven it over 35, 000 miles. Amazing car!

I just purchased a premium AWD extended range a few weeks ago. Ford was running crazy deal ( $10k+ off MSRP and 0% APR 48 months) + the EV credit. Very happy with the purchase

I own a First Edition model and its hands down the best car I've ever owned (I've owned 10 gas cars and 7 EVs). I cross shopped it with every other EV in the price range and although there are other cheaper competitors, it's the only one that did everything reasonably well and met all my picky requirements in a car and EV: It's comfortable, has rear cross-traffic alerts, radar-based ADAS, Blue Cruise which operates very well and is fantastic for road trips, dedicated buttons on the steering wheel for quick access to all functions, a quiet cabin, good build quality, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM radio, a guage cluster, a volume knob (these days that's rare), 1-pedal drive that you can turn on or completely off, and is tied to profiles of each driver (so when you start the car it automatically sets to your preference), memory heated seats, heated steering wheel, and a 360 top down camera that pops up automatically when in reverse or when getting too close to objects while going forward (which is great for parking lots and pulling in and out of my garage). No other EV in this segment has all of those features (and the Model Y has almost none of them). We love it so much we're keeping it even though we thought we'd only have it a couple years then move on to something else.

I have been driving my GT for almost a year and I love it!! Love the large center screen, only thing Im not crazy about is the glass roof in the summer. Didn’t want a Tesla as everyone and their mother has one.

Always love and appreciate ur insights and content, I have a Mach -E premium 2022 36, 000 miles. And it’s definitely the best ford I’ve ever had. Yes it’s not perfect, but it’s a fun drive. Interior is great, better than a lot of these other EV’s out there. I’m definitely happy with this purchase, it’s almost 2 years and it’s nothing to really complain about. Thanks again for all ur great work, peace and blessings.

Just got one. One of the key reasons, these weren’t appealing was that the pricing got out of hand. Now, with Ford incentives, it’s competitive and it’s moving off lots. I got a GT, no range issues, getting about 250-300 miles range, probably about 275 effective. Love the driving dynamics, suspension can be a little unsettled around bumpy roads, but it’s a great ride. A big plus for me? Also having a brain and not handing my cash to Tesla :).

Love my 2023 GT! The subwoofer rattles, but that’s the only issue.

I've had mine since July 2021 and I love the car. I have the CA Route 1 trim which maximizes range, and I get fantastic range on a full charge, around 325 miles.

Add ing a comment about the volume dial; it also adjusts temperature and fan speed when those buttons are touched first.

We bought a Grabber Blue '23 ER RWD Premium in July and it's been great! Had considered the GT but as a family vehicle, we determined that the range was more important than power.

My favorite thing that Ford has kept with their vehicles is the key code they have on the door. If you don’t feel like carrying a phone or the key you can just enter the numeric code and the door opens. I wish other brands had this feature

Drove a friend’s spec’d exactly like this one, and loved it. And my daily is a Mercedes E450. Tons of them on the road in my city.

The problem with the Mach E AWD long range is the battery is 21% bigger than the Model Y AWD long range and most other competitors. That is part of what makes it more expensive. But this also means around 20% more time to charge on a charging network that is not as dependable or in many cases not as fast as the Tesla Supercharging network. When Ford and other make EVs get access to the Tesla Supercharger network it should really help the case for a Mach E. The Mach E has far more charisma and style than the Model Y, and feels better built too.

Good vehicle but non-competitive pricing; Mach-E shall start at 35k and top trim be around same price as V8 GT Premium. 60k for this is outrageous …

@theredline You were very thorough covering the Mach-E. I wish Ford's Marketing didn't name it a Mustang though. The Mustang has always been a 2-door coupe. Thumbs Up on this video, Great Job!

These are just sitting on dealer lots right now lol

The fact that there are so many sitting on the lots (here in Vegas and Henderson) is concerning. Also the thought of no haggling and spending 2-3 hours in a dealership make the thought of buying Tesla or Rivian far more inviting than going to a Ford dealership. Order online, pay online, go to the service center and pick it up, so simple, so easy. I don't have the time or patience for the dealership dance the major car manufacturers make you go through. I do really like the look of the Mach-E and it would be perfect for my needs, but until they get rid of the haggling and dealer markups it's a hard NO for me. Great review once again! Love it.
