2023 Ford Mach-E VS 2023 Tesla Model Y

Today I compare a 2023 Tesla Model Y to a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E!

My friend drives a Mach-E GT and that thing is fast! It’s fun to race young kids in their Honda Civics and Toyota Supras! They don’t understand that they dont stand a chance taking off at a red light! 😂

As someone who's owned both, I think both shine in their own light. The Mach E has much better styling and gets more looks/compliments, the gauge cluster is very nice, the interior feels more roomy despite it being slightly smaller on paper and having less of a panoramic roof, and the range is reliable/accurate but the software is very meh, ok but meh.

The model Y looks pretty bleh styling wise, and now everybody and their mom has one. It's like a Honda crv at this point. The interior is also so bare bones. The car is overdue for a refresh. It's missing all the ultra sonic sensors, so parking sucks in it. That being said the software is amazing, incredibly fluid, has great visualizations and is more powerful. Much more you can do with the screen. The cabin filter is great for polluted areas, and lots of fun little gimmicks with car wash mode, dog mode, sentry mode... Tesla insurance is also great and at times a good bit cheaper. And the super charger network is very convenient

I think the reason the model y greatly outsells is more so because the Mach E is not on a supercharger network and because it's a gen 1 ev. Also a little bit of flock mentality when it comes to ev adoption. People have begun to solely associate Tesla with EVs. I think both are great cars and serve different audiences, and for their first attempt an amazing job by ford. The Mach E is probably the best alternative to the model Y value wise by a long shot

Tesla’s interior gives me anxiety, it looks like a 3 star hotel room and looks like a airplane economy seat rather than the driver seat. Lack of physical buttons and a dashboard has to be the biggest set back in the model Y for me

Ok I’ve own both cars. True review, the Mach-e is better built quality and smoother ride. The model y has the charging network and the range is way bette.

I think I wanna get a Mach e for sure! But since EVs I can see changing a lot in the years ahead I think it might be better to lease one more than buy one

The Model Y is the best selling car in Europe. I highly doubt Ford cares enough about going electric to even produce enough to even come close. The Cybertruck has a 1.5 million waiting list which Ford will never reach with this bastardized "Mustang".

The Model Y has reported all sorts of issues, and has basically been compared as a cheaply made version of the Model X. I like tesla, but the Y just seems too cheap to me. I personally went with the Mach e Route 1 edition and honestly couldn't be happier. It's smooth, plenty powerful, looks good and gets great range.
And people on here saying that the Y outsells the Mach e, well of course it does. The Mach e is backed up over a year wait right now. No one wants to wait that long lol. You can compare availability, but not sales.

Yeah Tesla's interior is minimalistic and the Mach E interior looks nicer. But Tesla offers better Tech features. Also Tesla has cameras everywhere to capture everything which is nice.

I want a Ford mach e so bad, but when you have to deal with dealer markup, and greater expense, with less range for the price, justify going with the mach e over a Tesla ...and I don't want to Tesla....

Model y back looks like bmw x6. Urus gle model y all looks very similar.

To bad Mach E was discontinued. Also, the model y juniper is coming out. Just like the model 3 redesign
