Today we’re going to talk about the hidden source of acne. I’ve done other videos on this topic that relate to high-carb diets. This is because high amounts of carbohydrates trigger insulin, which then is converted to androgens. So, a low-carb diet or healthy keto diet may help get rid of acne. 

However, people who are sensitive to dairy can get acne despite consuming dairy products that are low in carbohydrates. It has to do with a few different things.

• Growth factors and hormones (androgens and estrogens)
• Low-fat
• Protein allergy 
• Lactose intolerance 
• A1 (casein)
• A2 (casein) - may be less inflammatory 

How to get rid of acne?
If you’ve tried keto, but your acne hasn’t improved, you may want to cut out dairy. If you have a hard time eliminating dairy from your diet, you may want to try:

• Goat cheese 
• 100% grass-fed organic cheese

I did everything Dr. Berg said in his other videos: take Vit A and D cod liver oil, zinc, avoid dairy and high GI foods, but I also eat tons of veggies, cut back on processed foods and no soda. I’m now two months acne free! Its crazy how most people, including myself, thought acne was something to be treated with topicals and medication, when in reality, your skin is a reflection of your health on the inside

I had severe acne on my face specially on my chin and jawline after I started keto diet, my acne disappeared, and I do not consume any dairy products, now I have a good skin that was the dream of my last 15 years. I do not know how to appreciate Dr.Berg. I just cured my acne by listening of his videos. I always pray for him🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐

Damnit, this is the first time that I've heard a doctor say this. For my body's type of acne: I have learned through experience that if I have lots of carbs or sugar, I break out in pimples on my face. If I compensate by drinking an obscene amount of water or by completely removing that item from my diet my skin will become perfectly clear (or existing pimples noticeably dried & fading) within five days.
I mentioned this to two local doctors in the 2000s and one vehemently denied it and the second one chuckled. Both were adamant that food has *zero* affect on acne.

I have tried it. For me, organic dairy products of any kind do NOT cause any acne but non-organic dairy certainly does.

When I cut out dairy, within three weeks my rosacea disappeared. Also severe acne runs in my family, but I never have breakouts. Great video Dr. Berg!

I've had horrible cystic acne since I was around 10. I am almost 29. I cut out all dairy 3 weeks ago and my skin is finally clearing up. It worked like magic for me!

You need to say high carbs that convert to sugars. Cause even fiber in vegetables is technically a carbohydrate but we don't break it down.

I had acne until I was 46. The ONLY thing that cleared me completely was to eliminate all dairy, and take a zinc picolinate supplement every day.

I am an esthetician and I think that almost all acne has to do with dysbiosis in the digestive tract: too much inflammation in the intestines and/or an overworked and polluted liver, all of which happen from not eating properly. I tell my acne clients to eliminate either dairy or carbs for 3 weeks and see what happens. If the acne doesnt go away then do another elimination diet by eliminating the other food group the next time

cutting back dairy really helped with my acne by 90%. adding vitamin k2+d3 cured my acne completely

I had bad acne for years/decades. For me it was cutting out wheat that was ultimately the key. Like flipping a switch.

Its astounding to me how much bad science I was given growing up. "Don't eat fats because they will make you fat" "Eating according to the food pyramid." "Get 100 percent of all of these vitamins and minerals" "Eat around the clock so that your blood sugar doesn't dip" "'Don't restrict your calories because you will only burn muscle and not fat" Also your knee injury is just a sprain and not a torn meniscus, but that's beside the point. I've lost 20 pounds so far just following Dr Berg's advice. I feel so cheated by all of those other people and their "expertise."

The minute I got my teenage daughter off dairy, her mild acne went away. Now she has beautiful clear skin. 😊 Of course they didn't they tell us this 20 years ago. I know so many people who suffered from severe acne. It could have been solved so simply 😕

Its funny, I eat OMAD and my daily carb intake in that meal is less than 50g of carbs, I had a cheat day and ate 200 g of carbs and the next day I had acne....lesson learned.
