How To Tie A Carolina Rig For Bottom Fishing (Catfish, Salt Water Fish, Salmon/Trout)
In this video Dan Meyer shows how to tie a Carolina rig. Carolina rigging is very effective for bottom fishing. Anytime there is current or you just want your bait to stay near the bottom the Carolina rig is a good option.
The Carolina rig works great for fishing live bait for salt water fish like red fish, drum, and flounder. It also works for catfish, salmon and trout in the great lakes, and walleye dishing in rivers along with many other scenarios.
The Carolina rig allows live bait to swim up off the bottom but not very far off bottom because of the led weight. This keeps your bait in the strike zone!
Carolina rig is mostly used in scenarios where there is current.
