16GB+ RAM does matter!!! Do not waste your money on 8GB

1:15 I see what you did there good work soldier. I got the 13" Macbook air stock 8GB ram 256 SSD but I also got a 1 TB external SSD.
You can also hook up your Apple to your TV if it is smart and it has Bluetooth and it’s Sebreze if it’s an older model you can get a USBC HDMI connected, use that to connect your 13” air; to your 1080 p 65” tv; problem solved.

I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.

The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.

would've gone with the pro if they offered the same screen size at the 15 inch air.
and I would go for the 16 inch pro if it were not so much more expensive than the 16gb/512Storage 15inch air.

Even with 8GB of RAM, the way macOS handles page filing, I'm able to edit 4K Blackmagic RAW footage in DaVinci Resolve on my M1 MacBook Air. It's not an ideal situation, but it's more than capable for the everyday person. If I had bought it new, I would have definitely gone with a 16GB variant. I bought this Air used in late 2022 for 700 AUD, and it's still working flawlessly despite being tortured by me.

My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

Last year I decided to upgrade from the base model M1 Air to the M2 MacBook Pro 14 512/16 GB. I like that the Pro has more ports.

Thank you so incredibly much for a thorough comparison and suggestions. These days i primarily use my MacBook Pro for web browsing, YouTube and emails . But I am on it al lot. I’ve always had a pro and can’t help but feel that the pros last longer/ longer lifespan, and sturdier, and the fan will be helpful in Australia ( so hot here!). But I’m on the pension these days… my current MacBook Pro is a 2015 15”… so it is quite old, but I love it !!
Really conflicted!

I am a Graphic Designer and a Photographer from India who works on multiple layers in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom Classic, Figma and Canva, also I am planning to start learning video editing using Adobe's Premier Pro or Davinci Resolve and motion graphics using Adobe After Effects.

Currently, I am using an AUS ROG Zephyrus G14 from 2020 with 16 gigs of memory and 1 TB of storage (this is the base model btw which has a Ryzen 5 4600 HS CPU and a Nvidia GTX 1650 ti GPU).

I usually have multiple apps running and this is how it might look on average:

1. Photoshop
2. Illustrator
3. Figma (along with Photoshop on rare scenarios)
4. Lightroom Classic (sometimes along with Photoshop)
3. A browser (2 different ones like Brave and Firefox sometimes),
4. Apple Music,
5. Windows file explorer (4 to 5 tabs),
6. A communication app (like Slack or Teams) and
7. Notion.

So now can you tell me whether a person like me can get away with a decently specced Macbook Air (like a 15-inch model with 24 gigs of memory and 1 TB of storage) instead of a much more powerful Macbook Pro?

I've been using an 8GB/512GB 15" MBA for a few months, I've mainly used windows computers and my desktop has 32GB of RAM, despite that I went for 8GB on this MacBook because it's for media consumption and web browsing only, so I think its sufficient. I wouldn't necessarily advise people buy an 8GB Computer in 2024, but if you intend on using it in accordance with those limitations you won't notice, I havent seen this MBA slow down once and swap is always minimal so I'm not concerned with the SSD degrading, it's hard to buy an 8GB MacBook these days without seeing every tech-youtuber basically say you've bought e-waste because its 8GB and not 16GB, despite the fact you're not using it in a way that warrants 16GB. be happy with your machine.

I see a lot of people talk about getting earlier models, yet no one seems to talk about the operating systems. My 2014 Imac is almost dead (running from external drive right now as internal failed.) but I have not been able to upgrade the OS for some time now. So getting an earlier model now will also mean losing ability to work with the latest OS a lot sooner too.
