I had a afcd in 2009 and then i was diagnosed with bilateral forminal stenosis with caused by two herniated discs and bone spurs all in the same area of the fusion and one vertabre c-6 is pushing on the spinal cord again. I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon at the end of march and inflammation non prescription Tylenol a muscle relaxer and a migraine pill isnt helping. what options are there and what are the chances for more stenosis later in other areas of cervical spine or the lumbar or thoracic. I should also mention i was born with spastic diplegia cerebral palsey, also ive been a chef most of my career and i switched careers to be a maintenance technician and i dont know if im exacerbating my condition. Need some guidance

I have spinal stenosis. But I've heard that a laminectomy can cause problems down the line because the doc is taking out a chunk of spine. Wouldn't a discectomy do the same thing, but with less problems later down the line?

Dr. Chet, I’ve been suffering from lumbar spinal stenosis for how long I even don’t know but finally diagnosed two yrs ago and I’ve unintentional weight loss which has made me look sickly all the time. And resting makes me feel better but walking or being at work makes me extremely tired that I start feeling very ill and weak. I’m on gabapentin which is helping but only not even close to 50%. And it looks like I don’t have any blood in my skin. Does nerve compression due to spinal stenosis cause blood circulation problems and weight loss ? Because when I’m in extreme hot I look better and my face looks plumped within minutes. Please suggest me something

I am 24 and suffering from L4-L5 disc issue, if i do laminocetcomy, Again do i need to do any surgery or is it better to continue medication for some years and do?
