When camping, my coffee ritual is to hike to an especially beautiful spot to make and enjoying my coffee. I've always kept my Coffee Kit separate from my water bottle, not intentionally, I just didn't have a case that held everything together which made my coffee trek just a little bit awkward. I wanted a pack that was just big enough to hold both my coffee kit and a 32 ounce Nalgene water bottle. I also wanted it to be easy to carry so we added a handle. Once the basic size and shape was established I held it up to my chest and thought, maybe this would work as a chest pack? I've always loved chest packs. I used to wear one back in my snowboarding days (to carry my CD player). I like having such easy access to what I need...a chest pack never seems in the way or throws off my balance. I tried it, it worked great, so I added the workstation pocket and The KIT-PAC was born. In Firebox fashion the KIT-PAC, with it's many pockets, sleeves and stashes, is very versatile / multi functional. It's just the right size for most any need and that's why I named it "KIT-PAC."

Hello Steve, been a while! After watching this video it got me thinking about my old “ammo can stove set up I used in the Marines! While it was a little on the heavy side along with being a little bulky, it worked great as a cook stove, and as a tent heater ( for a “pup tent”) placed at the flap with a short “tin can” chimney. The major issue with it was the latching of the lid, it just was an inconvenient and bulky set up, but all of my stove set was easily stored inside when on the go, and a small skillet tucked into my pack. My thought was if you redesigned the latch, and chimney possibly made it lighter. I think this was an ideal stove for the military packer, and would have many uses as a simple compact tent stove. Would this be something that you would mull over?

ROCK STAR STEVE!!! I just purchased the chest pack!!! I can't wait to put it to work on one of my motorcycle journeys!!! Or just walking my dogs with all our gear, water, treats, etc. You make quality goods, and I feel safe taking your gear anywhere. I do have a request. Can you let me know once the heavy-duty elk skin gloves come in!!! Those gloves look so nice, and it looks like they will take care of me for years to come!!! I didn't think the box pot fryer kit was going to come out, so fast because of the comment you made in the video while you were doing the demonstration. So, I went ahead and purchased the other things on my wishlist!!! Haha😅 one thing I am going to be wearing proudly is the FIREBOX base ball cap with large white bandana!!! I'm really critical when it comes to backpacks or bags in general. You did an amazing job with the design of this bag Steve. The compact size and amount of organization it offers is fantastic. Also that new nano grill is genius. Would love to see more grills like this style that work with the freestyle different sizes for each configuration. Imagine one for the 6 sided freestyle 😊
