CORRECTION: I mistakenly said “Vitamin C” instead of “Calcium” - RDA for Calcium in pregnancy is 1000mg/d and Vitamin C is 85mg/d! Thank you to those who caught my error!

That poor mother with the cinnamon. She probably lived with guilt thinking she caused her miscarriage. Mama if you're reading this, it wasn't your fault

My grandmother (born in 1926) told my mom when she was pregnant with my older sister (back in the late 70s) that she can't swim or take baths while she's pregnant cause she could drown the baby, which I think is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

The cord was wrapped around both of my babies necks, not a problem the first time, but it caused a scare the second time. Most terrifying minute of life. My girl was born grayish and not crying, failed her first APGAR reading. However, she perked up and got a great score the second time. She’s 14 now and perfectly healthy! ♥️

"you can't ride a bike in pregnancy." My sister always got really weird looks getting on the tube in London with her folding bike, her response was 'I'm Dutch, I'll probably cycle to the hospital when I go into labour'.

Don't jump late in pregnancy, it won't hurt your baby at all but you might wet yourself 😂

I guarantee every single Dutch woman here is laughing at the "not being able to ride a bike while pregnant". My sister cycled to the hospital while in labour

I was 38 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and was heading to my doctor appointment with my husband in November when we got into a car accident. My seat belt was below my belly across my legs. I also was sitting incorrectly - crossed legged, only because I needed a hole for my belly to sit in. Everyone I spoke to was so relieved to hear I had the seat belt below my belly. I can't imagine not wearing it that way. The airbag hit my leg and burned off my skin some, and I truly think that if I wasn't sitting that way, my belly would have been hit. Blessing. Baby was born same day, just as a precaution from all the trauma. We all are happy and healthy. No issues at all, thank goodness.

I walked daily in my pregnancy sometimes miles. I swear it helped me not get as many aches and it helped my legs not cramp as much. Plus it kept me sane during the pandemic times. 🥴

This is actually really helpful. I'd also love to see a video like "beginners guide to pregnancy" or "pregnancy for dummies" (lol) which sumarizes basic and/or most important dos and don'ts. Although I have a biological education, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of pregnancy information and I'm not even pregnant yet. It's a little scary to be honest :D

I've had two early miscarrages back to back, and this video has helped me so much. I know doctors say that miscarrage is not your fault, but it's so easy to go down a rabbit hole and think of all the things you did "wrong" that might have caused the miscarrage.

I’m in the two week wait window to see if I’m pregnant right now. Send baby dust! UPDATE: no baby this month, but my husband and I will keep trying ❤️

I'm a gay asexual man so I'm about as far away from pregnancy as you can get but I always love watching Mama Dr. Jones!
