I’ve watched so many videos about the NASM CPT exam and this has by far been the most helpful. :) ty

I just passed my CPT test recently, and I am cosigning EVERYTHING she said in this video, except for the NASM Edge app. I had heard about it, but I didn't use it. LISTEN to what she is saying in this video, because techniques like this helped me me feel prepared as well!!! As she said, I cannot overstress the importance of learning concepts of overactive/underactive muscles, training programming, psychological techniques, and business/professional practices. Also, the cue questions were unexpected when they popped up on the screen. LoL.

The practice exam at the end of the coursed is very important, HOWEVER be strategic with how you use it! She said it, so I'll reiterate that it is vital to NOT memorize the answers to questions, but to UNDERSTAND the concept and material behind the answers. Like Tracy, I took the practice exam between 10 to15 times (14 times) and I only stopped when I was consistently scoring mid 90s AND fully understanding my incorrect answers without having to look them up. On the actual exam, the questions will be worded much differently from what we see during practice. And as she said, if you have trouble understanding anything through the course content, search YouTube for videos that breakdown the material in a way that is understandable (i.e. chambers of the heart, OA/UA muscles, Muscular Subsystems, etc.) I promise it's all totally doable! Just stick with advice from people like @TracyBui and you'll be fine!! You've got this y'all!!!!

What happens if for some reason we don’t pass

I see all these other videos about what to study to pass and all that but I feel like if I cheat and only study the bare minimum I’m not actually gonna be that knowledgeable and legit enough to deserve the certification, then again the some of the stuff may not actually be that practical to ever rly need to know for working as a personal trainer anyways so I really don’t know anymore, I’m kind of conflicted🤷🏻‍♂️😂.

When you go to schedule the exam what are the options? Can you schedule months ahead or is there a limit?

Do you know of a source that highlights the overactive/under active muscles?? For say the different postural distortions (ie upper cross)? Thanks
