Last year my parents arranged a marriage for me with man who earned a lot but did not even pray 4 times a day. His familial background was also foreign to me. I tried convincing them but they wouldn't budge. Ultimately I just prayed Istakhara continuously and left it to Allah, "Surely if He has planned it I will be content. I know I've led a pious life for Him and He has said it Himself that Pures are for the pure" I would think.
They called it off just a week before Nikah, my parents were distraught and I was anxious fore months. Now I am Insha'Allah getting married to man who not only prays regularly but comes from a family of religious scholars. Indeed Allah has the best plan for you, despite how disappointing things may seem.
