I’ve been growing mushrooms in the garden for the past few years and I can’t stop recommending to everyone to give it a go!

Growing mushrooms in your garden it’s not only beneficial for the food production but it also benefits your plants by creating symbiotic relationships.

Wine caps are a sort of natural biocontrol for your garden, trapping parasitic nematodes in the soil and eating them as a convenient source of protein.

MUSHROOM IN LOGS 🪵

- 1 x Oak log
- 1 x bag of shiitake dowels
- Drill
- 1 x 8 mm drill bit
- Hammer
- Soy wax
- Brush

MUSHROOM IN RAISED BEDS:

- straw
- Wine cups spawn

Alternate a layer of straw/woodchips and mycelium and keep well moist. They can grow along any plant so you can have extra production of food in your garden.

OLD MUSHROOM BLOCK:

1 x old mushroom block
Straw

Crumble your old mushroom blocks once the finish to produce and alternate straw with spent blocks. Keep well moist and you might have an extra flush of mushrooms.

I love how he plants mushrooms with plants. They use oxygen and release carbon dioxide, and the plants use carbon dioxide and give off oxygen.
The mushrooms decompose the soil, the plant benefits from the resulting nutrients.
This guy probably reads a lot.
Keep it up😊

Love to see him dipping into mycology too mushrooms and plants have a symbiotic relationship and are overlooked by most gardeners even though it’s such a win win

Hoping to do this soon around my food forest, I want random logs laying around with mushrooms everywhere. I'm hoping it'll kinda innoculate the forest floor over time and I'll end up with natural shiitakes and stuff popping up in random places around

Dude, I want to give you an idea of wasteless mushroom growing:
1. Take a husk from sunflower seeds (and seed waste if make your own oil);
2. Take a plastic bag (it is only plastic stuff you need, for better humidity and temperature of substrate);
3. Take an oyster shroom seed material (it is not so big deal, but oyster shroom micelium infected grain will be best choise);
4. Mix husk and seed material, moist it by room temperature clean water;
5. Pack blend to plastic bags, not so tigh and not so loose, tie bags tight and make some holes in them;
6. Hang bags with growing blend in shadowy place with constant temperature and humidity (about +17 Celsium degrees, this is a perfect temperature for growing this shrooms. Humidity must be about 75-90%, don't forget to moist bags by spray). Basement will be perfect place;
By this advise you can harvest oyster shrooms by three-six times of each bag. And when substrate deplete, you can use it like compost.

Psychedelics definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it's just so hard to source out here

Psilocybin mushrooms destroyed my ability to eat mushrooms. Every time I eat them I immediately get reminded of the taste of gold caps and I can’t get em down lol.

I love that you’re showing people the can grow together, but if you want to maximize on the mushrooms, there are much better ways to do it with the same amount of effort.
