Great advice!! What advice would you give to parents who are separated. Everything i achieve with my children is undone when they go back to their mothers. Before anyone says anything about her and I have to be on the same page separated or not just know, that would be great but mom consumes her life with countless social media sites and boyfriends to care about developing issues with our children.

One of your rules is be happy? I get what you’re trying to express and teach your kids, as well as creating a pleasant environment, but what if they are sad about legitimate things, or genuinely depressed?

You're saying not to over react, but what if your kids are continually doing something and you are continually saying please stop? Or you are saying please come here please come over here now Hey can you guys come over here Hey can you guys hear me can you please come over here? And they don't respond you trying to remain calm retrying to be respectful your evening letting know that you are serious and that it is time to go in a nice way and they do not seem to care. Once you raise your voice and get upset and angry and frustrated that is when they seemed to listen. What do you do about that? Because you're making it sound as if you just remain calm when talking to them then they will just automatically behave. I tried it and it doesn't work

I know in the African culture I see mothers tend to over react not stay calm they do not talk in more respectful manner to there kids.
