My 7 year old 460 quit working today and with this video, I identified lights 256 and error code 19 which had no solution mentioned but then when I held the start button for 3 seconds, it started working again. Whatever that did it's working. Many thanks! Really a lifesaver because I have company coming and need to wash bedding, towels and such to be ready.

This is for 'casual' setting which is what i use most.
1. Select setting
2. Press start and wait approx 5 minutes as washer locks and decides correct amount of water which is always not enough.
3. Washer unlocks, stand and wait 30 secs as washer shifts to wash cycle
press add water button and add detergent. Stand and wait aprox 3 minutes as adds 3 gallons.
4. After washer adds 3 gallons press add water again and wait 3 more minutes as washer adds 3 more gallons to get desired amount of water
5.

*washer will pause intermittently if you open lid, press start button to restart if this happens. You can select "bulk items" to avoid all the hassle of having to stand there for five minutes BUT the draw back to this is that washer will fill to max so you'll need max amount of detergent to clothes quasi clean AND you'll use much more water than often needed AND this option has a longer running time. So if you are in a hurry this isn't best choice.

Enjoy wasting your precious time for no good reason other than the you had the misfortune of buying a washer from people who hate their customers and want to make them suffer.

If anyone else is having issue with water coming into the tank where it is not filling up, I contacted GE and was told that it is more than likely a problem with the water pressure in your house. If you have small piping the basin will not fill up. It needs a certain psi in order for the basin to fill up with water.

Called GE direct...they have a programming module that fixes several common problems. Kudos to them, they were understanding and went outside the warranty coverage to help.

My model is GTW500ASN0WS, serial LR999206G, and I’m probably looking at electrical damage underneath from a basement flooded and got a foot tall of water that affected the bottom part of the washer. I’m trying to figure out would need to be replaced? I opened and closed the lids six times I unplugged the machine for a minute, I press the buttons for the wash cycle it makes a noise, but then it does not show the fill button light, gyrates for a second, and does not jet water out and then makes the finish button noise three minutes later
