A few weeks ago fellow FNAF theorist @HyperDroid made a video claiming to have SOLVED the infamous Foxy Grid from the Security Logbook. Since then the FNAF community has come together in general agreement that Hyperdroid NAILED this theory and found the TRUE name for the Crying Child. Today I aim to put this theory under the microscope and see if it really stands up the scrutiny!

To add onto the "Crying child is called Dave" idea, in the novels, William Afton uses Dave as an alias. His beloved son, now dead, becomes his false identity

We can't forget that afton used Dave as a fake name in the silver eyes. It would make sense that he uses his beloved sons name as a fake name when hes not being a monster. That's supporting evidence from the franchise itself

Honestly, "I'm scared" being a response to "Do you have dreams?" Isn't that far fetched at all. Nightmares are a type of dream, and Dave is clearly scared. Being asked that question then thinking about your nightmares/dream would warrent an answer of I'm scared.

Edit: This is especially apparent when you realize little kids respond with "I'm scared, " often IRL, and in a lot of fiction.

I think the Dave solution also follows a similar flow as Cassidy, where most of the name was found through one method then Mike steps in to give the remaining letters. This also makes me think this is Mike kinda putting them back together by finishing the rest of the name

Frankly, I'm quite surprised that Tom didn't bring up the clip where Hyperdroid mentions the movie drawings. In the movie, there's that one wall with a ton of drawings featuring the dead kids. One of them, as Hyperdroid pointed out in the video, has a kid with the name David writeen above him. First of all, this is the only drawing on that entire wall to actually have a name on it. Second of all, he's standing net to his mom, who has a strikingly similar design to Clara frm the Immortal and the Restless, a character who represents William's wife. And third of all, the mom who looks like Clara is also holding a party balloon, a possible callback to CC's birthday from Fnaf 4. This was the detail that fully convinced me of Hyperdroid's theory. And I feel like "I'm Scared" is a perfect response to "Do you have dreams" because of that Fredbear drawing.

10:40 as an older brother I can confirm, those are the most loving things you can do to a younger sibling

I was thinking about Cassidy's question to Dave "Do you have dreams?" and Dave's reply "I'm scared" and, if you think about it without the picture of Nightmare drawn by Mike on the corner, it can make sense. Dave might have replied with "I'm scared" for a multitude of reasons. He may have said this because when he does dream, if at all, he only has nightmares that make him terrified. Now that question reads as "Do you have dreams?" and the response means "Yes, and I'm scared of them". Dave could have also replied with "I'm scared" because he is scared to see what would happen if he tries to dream. Think about it, if Dave is the protagonist of the FNAF 4 game, he probably doesn't feel safe trying to sleep after that traumatic experience, especially for a little kid. With this in mind, the question reads "Do you have dreams?" and the response means "I'm scared of dreams" or "I'm scared to try and dream" or "I'm scared of falling asleep". There are many other ways this two word response can be interpreted with or without the context of the Nightmare picture, but those are the ones that make the most sense to me. I just wanted to share my idea. I hope everyone has a great day/night!

Maybe she’s named Elizabeth because of queen Elizabeth because she’s his queen child

William Afton going by Dave Miller in the Silver Eyes is good evidence for this in more ways than just "he took on his son's name"; we've seen Scott reuse character names multiple times before, with Jeremy in particular being used as the name of a nightguard, a MCI victim, and a VR game tester.
