2.6kg is the over weight limit for the 50KG class. She couldn't get under 52.6KG limit. she got busted and properly justice is served. she should be competing in the 53kg class but india felt like she is a sure shot for a gold in the 50kg class. She won 2 silvers in the last 2 world championships in the 53kg level. thank god justice is served on this girl, by the weight of 1 deck of card..she went over the 2.6kg then the 1 deck of card...thank lord!!!

She should have competed in next weight class if that is her natural body weight, but wait, there is a better candidate in that category.
So complete in lower weight by artificially managing weight.

The candidate did everything to get entry into the 50 kg category but did not make it into the same category upon the second weighing. That's the rule - double weighing because the Olympics is aware of the strategy that contestants use to hoodwink the process. Double weighing because they know that it would be difficult to make the weight limitation if you had kinda cheated to get your first weight. That's what she did. There is nothing to appeal. Get fully acquainted with the rules, that's the remedy.

I'm not sure how the decision was made to drop a weight class, but if you're gonna claim victory over Yui Susaki, who's NEVER lost an international match, then you better damn be 100% legit by ALL RULES and REQUIREMENTS.
