Even if China surpasses India in all aspects, Palki can still find a unique angle to complain China. Please remember that China is an East Asian country, culturally closer to Japan and Korea. India is a country with a totally different culture.

India can't even compare with China's smaller cities, as Hong Kong won two gold medals😂

I suggest that India should consider withdrawing from the Olympics and allocate more funds towards building toilets.

In the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, China was as poor as India at that time, but China won 16 gold medals and India got none. Ծ‸Ծ

A country with 1.4 billion people has no gold medals in the Paris Olympics. An India that claims to be a superpower has no influence or status in the Paris Olympics. Currently, China temporarily ranks first in the Paris Olympics with 36 gold medals. No matter in which field, I don't know how India is qualified to compete with China today.
India likes to compare itself with China in almost everything, and it never tires of doing so. But in the most influential international sports event, the Olympics, it is hard to see such comparisons. Perhaps the Indian media also knows that if India compares itself with China in the Olympics, it is like comparing a stone on the ground with a priceless diamond. . .
A Chinese online media outlet published a rare article about India. The title was "On the 15th day of the Olympics, India is still waiting for a gold medal: Does it still want to compete for the right to host the 2036 Olympics?" The article said, "Backward infrastructure, air pollution, and a series of backward results in international competitions... Can India prove that it has the strength to host the Olympics?"

As long as you win at least one olympic medal every tournament (even bronze) it is achievement in India’s eyes and to keep people happy and satisfied. People think if you win just one medal then you have won the Olympics tournament altogether

It's not enough to spend money on individual athletes. You have to overhaul the infrastructure. Build stadiums, invest in physical education / health education, promote athletics in the media, hold more high-profile national sporting events, etc. These are institutional changes that need to be in place for generations.

There is no need to be sad. Although India's medal ranking is very low, India's doping rate is high. As long as you learn to change your perspective, you will always find a place that ranks among the top.

Badmouth China when you are incapable to compete ? Does this help India, Palki? Sorry but when it comes Olympic, INDIAN CAN’T EVEN SEE CHINA’S TAIL LIGHT.

Poor India, it has money to buy warships and weapons, but is unwilling to spend money on training its own athletes and building infrastructure. Yet it still wants to compete with China. How ridiculous.

Palki is right in saying India should have winning culture. How much ever we invest if athletes doesn't have winning mindset we may crumble under pressure easily. That's why best athletes got us too many bronze medals.

While other countries mention only very briefly their bronze medal winners, Indians are celebrating and bragging about their two tiny bronze medals as if the Indian Olympic team is dominating the medal count.

One of the BIG.. and i mean BIG reason for Indians not bagging medals is Nutrition as well.. we have ace athletes who can really shine on international platform if provided proper nutrition.. specialized quality proteins are not that easily available in India and cost considerably.. as a result Athletes go in with whatever training and talent they have to do the best they can.. hopefully this will improve and we ll see more medals come home along the way..
Go champs.. Jai Hind..

Fun fact, India hasn't been able to win medals in double digits.
Australia, a country with population less than that of the city of Mumbai has consistently dominated.
