Strangely enough, i cooked this last week, although i added red lentils, celery, and sweet potatoes to mine. Yummy autumnal comfort food.

Oh, Maddie, I've made this recipe on Sunday and I was a bit skeptical about how will the dumplings turn out but it was amazing!! Super delicious and I even had leftovers which I ate and enjoyed yesterday. I will be making this one on repeat this winter. Thank you for all the inspiration😊❤

I made this yesterday and omg it’s so lovely!! I used sweet potato instead of potato as we didn’t have any and also added courgette in. Thank you so much! ❤

Made this last night for dinner 🍲 😋 and added a leek as an extra veg as was in fridge.
Enough was left for lunch today 😉 as well 👍 just finished eating that and even nicer!

Just made this tonight for dinner. Had to go online to find self-rising flour, which is hard to find here in California. Also, instead of swede, we call it rutabaga. My husband, my son and I all rated it a 10 out of 10. I had never made dumplings before but these turned out really well! Thanks Madeleine!

I made it yesterday - really good. Better than any stew I made so far. I have question about dumplings if anyone knows - yesterday when I cooked them in the stew they were completely fine, fluffy etc. I tried to make more today and I cooked them in water and they did not turn out that good, less fluffy inside, and like they absorbed too much water in the outer layer so bit gooey. Not sure how to cook them outside of the stew? Perhaps I added a bit too much butter? Maybe too much water at the beginning? Any tips how to make them outside of the goulash?

can you prep the dumplings beforehand and keep them in the fridge/freeze them? :3 They look delicious!
