RFK is correct: it is *undemocratic* to exclude other runners from debates between the presidential contestants. It is not a matter of a _private_ individual being _"able to do something about it"_ per se, but, rather, it is telling that a country, which proclaims to be a _"beacon of democracy, "_ engages in brazenly *anti-democratic* practices or policies. It proves that money — not "democracy" — runs the U.S. political system.

*12:12* There are words for what Emerson College is doing. It is called *shifting blame.* Colleges have no one else to blame but their administrators for how they shamefully conducted themselves — trampling on free speech, making unsubstantiated accusations against those exercising their First Amendment rights, their unwillingness to be flexible in negotiating with protesters, sitting on the sidelines while protesters and counter-protesters collided — in many cases, counter-protesters moving into protesters' spaces, and the brutal police crackdowns on peaceful protesters. The college administrators are no friends of civil society. 🙂

More storms and forest fires are coming. Maybe we should be paying a home owners tax instead of insurance.
