Interesting with Boeing. At one time they were considered a world leader in safety but now they have blood on their hands. Complete different area of transportation but as a former school bus driver in California, if you tried to hide safety records or use lower quality parts and the CHP who oversees school busses in California the department would be shut down and fined. Whether a school district or private company you would deal with the law because you are responsible for precious lives. I remember seeing a whole transportation department shut down and busses red tagged when they CHP came in force. If a transportation department tried to play games and try to skirt around the law they would look at your whole department under a microscope. The FAA needs to do the same thing with Boeing.
