Even though the PS5 is coming out this december. I'm going to wait an extra year and get the Pro for now. My current 2014 PS4 is slow as hell and sounds like a damn jet engine

I had a PS4 slim and a pro and I can say that the slim still has fantastic HDR. It’s not worth upgrading at this point IMO

The difference between the base p4 and pro's performance isn't whether you have a 1080p or 4K monitor. If anything, the pro greatly enhances 1080p content (better SSAA, stable frame rates). Even if you have a 4K monitor, downscaling ps4 pro games to 1080p is often more beneficial.

As a video producer myself I can say the ps4 pro is the way to go. I thought it was all hype but I was truly wrong. I own a 27" 4k gaming monitor that I have for editing, it works really well for editing videos. However, when I got the pro and played games like RED DEAD or HORIZON ZERO DAWN or MARVELS SPIDER MAN, its as if I'm looking through a window. immersion is increased at least 80/90%

The slim has HDR. The Pro was disappointing when it was released and it didn't add much visual clarity compared to the original.

I decided that buying a launch PS5 isn't a good idea for me...best case scenario I'm looking at over $600 for the console + one game and I don't even have a 4K HDR tv yet. I'm gonna wait for the inevitable slim revision 3 years from now. Mean time I'll try to snag a reduced price PS4 Pro this holiday...I'm guessing it'll be 350 maybe even 300 🤞

Ps4 pro looks phenomenally better on 1080p tv as well because of supersampling and better anti aliasing. I have both and the difference is definitely noticeable. All jaggies are gone on pro
