I use my Milwaukee M12 3/8 Impact wrench daily. Honestly I couldn't do my job without it. When I heard Milwaukee was coming out with a Gen 2 that puts out 550 foot pounds of torque, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Well,  that day finally arrived.  I picked up the M12 Fuel Gen 2, 1/2 stubby impact wrench 2563-20. In this video I put it up against a F150 lugnut, an electric Forklift lugnut, and lastly a lugnut on a 53ft trailer that is torqued to 500 foot pounds. Will the Gen2 stubby impact have enough torque to loosen it? Let's watch and find out.

Refreshing to watch a video that doesn't have a crazy long intro and gets right to the point. Keep up the good work.

Nice seeing a video of someone using the tool for real world applications instead of just holding it in their hand talking about it for 12 minutes. Thumbs up to your video.

Excellent little video. I think I'm going to go with the 3/8. I still have a bigger 900 ft-lb 1/2 inch M18

We have all the cool Milwaukee gear - from 3/8" to 3/4" drive. However, we also have a Posenpro 3/8" ratchet that my Missus bought me one Christmas as a gift. It was 40 quid off Amazon. I assumed it would be naff. It is now nicknamed "HurryHurry" here in the workshop & it gets used & borrowed more than any other tool. It is simply one of the best mechanic tools going. It just works.

Understanding that the battery makes all the difference, I am on the waiting list for the 2563-22 kit. Although I am just a DIYer, I believe this impact wrench will become the lube tech's dream tool, a tool for cars and light trucks. Although I intend to use it for lug nuts (along with my Koken wheel nut sockets), replacing my 2962-20, hopefully the 2563-20 will be small enough for brake calipers and brackets as well.

Makes me wonder if that battery would last for all 10 lugs of that huge trailer.

Might be a good idea to put some oil in those axles since it's really low

I would love to see a whole 1 ton truck tire be dismounted and and mounted to see the battery usage. I feel a truck tire at 165 foot pounds would take 2 batteries to do. But all in all a good review

A main reason I bought an M12 Fuel tool (Hackzall) was the 3/8" drive, I'll need that battery though.

Don't know where you're located, but try testing that gen 2 m12 in cold weather temperature while the tool is cold. Leave it in the vehicle overnight and do some lug nuts. See if there's any difference in performance during colder temperature.

yes it will use more power than previous version
if you use it a lot, have two 5Ah batteries

I got mine and its fricken sweet. Ofc the socket is important but for most things this little bad boy will have no problem with on the rate occasion youll still need to get out the big boy but this is amall lightweight and convienent. Itl fit in moat spots my big impact wont and it has enough power to do whats needed. I use it for working on boilers and it has no problem with door bolts and hand holes

That thing is absolutely not 550 ft lbs it won’t even break off a bolt at 200 ft lbs.
