- Milwaukee M12 FUEL 1/2" Stubby Impact Wrench w/ Pin Detent (2563P-20) - $199

Milwaukee has unveiled its new line of M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches, designed to tackle tough jobs in restricted spaces. These compact powerhouses are ideal for professional mechanics, contractors, and DIY enthusiasts who need a versatile tool for various fastening applications.

Unmatched Compactness

The defining feature of the M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches is their incredibly compact size. With a length of only 4.8 inches (3/8" and 1/2" models) and 5.1 inches (1/4" model), these wrenches can reach into tight corners and confined areas where larger impact wrenches simply won't fit. This makes them perfect for working on car engines, repairing appliances, assembling furniture, and more.

Industry-Leading Torque

Despite their small size, the M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches deliver impressive power. All three models boast a maximum breakaway torque of 250 ft-lbs (except the 1/4" model with 100 ft-lbs), which is enough to remove even the most stubborn bolts and fasteners. This ensures you have the muscle to handle demanding tasks without sacrificing portability.

4-Mode Drive Control for Maximum Versatility

The M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches feature a unique 4-mode drive control system that allows you to fine-tune the tool's performance for specific applications. These modes include:

- Bolt Removal Mode: Delivers maximum torque for breaking loose stubborn fasteners.
- Bolt Tightening Mode: Provides precise control for tightening bolts to a specific torque value.
- Auto-Stop Mode: Automatically shuts off the wrench after reaching a preset torque, preventing overtightening.
- Speed Selection Mode: Allows you to choose between high speed for faster fastening or low speed for more control.

Additional Features

The M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches come packed with additional features that enhance user experience and durability. These include:

- Brushless Motor: Delivers efficient power and extended tool life.
- REDLINK PLUS Intelligence: Ensures optimal tool performance and protects against overload.
- LED Light: Illuminates the work area for better visibility in tight spaces.
- Durable Construction: Built to withstand tough jobsite conditions.

Conclusion

The Milwaukee M12 FUEL Stubby Impact Wrenches are a valuable addition to any toolbox. Their compact size, impressive power, and versatility make them ideal for working in tight spaces and tackling demanding fastening applications. With their user-friendly features and durable construction, these impact wrenches are sure to become a favorite among professionals and DIYers alike.

Not a fan of the speed switch. But can’t deny the power in a compact form

For all those that are complaining about the speed switching technique, if you think about it it's a gem because you can change speeds with just 1 hand if the other is occupied holding something in place.

That thing should teach my girl a thing or two about nut-busting torque.

I'm super excited but the speed switching method seems goofy. Did you find it irritating?

550 busted nuts on an adjustable speed 1/2" M12 stubby replaces most impact tools

Honestly id rather just have the mode shifter on top like the original

Given that I like to fidget with the trigger, including the quick *buzz buzz* when I pick it up, I see the mode switch being a problem. I love my m12 stubby though. So much better than the 1/8th inch adapters on the impact driver (which I took a lugnut off with once, by the way). The M12 platform has been worth every penny.

This is the 4th or 5th video I have seen regarding this m12 and I think I just might jump on the M12 platform seems like a great tool

That's incredible torque for a stubby, workshop addict know there stuff. Available in 1/2 and 3/8 drive . I would trust 1/2 " size for stubborn awkward confined spaced bolts but unsure of 3/8 .

I like it. Most impacts are so bulky that you can't use them in a lot of places. This looks a lot better.

17 year mechanic here. I use Milwaukee impacts on the daily for YEARS. The first thing that always goes out on mine. The trigger. Now I have to hit the trigger to also change the mode? Yeah I will skip these.

I want that speed switch on the m12 hex impact driver, that would be amazing (for non automotive purposes)

Setting the preload on a wheel bearing with an impact is fucking mental.

Milwaukee's really been gunning for some sort of record for unforced errors lately.
