Behringer X-Air Mix App-The Differences betweeen iPad Vs. Android.

Connectivity issues? TRUST ME. You will not have a problem when you connect a dual band external router to it. The internal router is just TOO WEAK.. It works perfect with a dual band external router. I bit the bullet, bought a dual band router and it works with quick connectivity!!! $20 on ebay. DLink or whatever brand. Trust me, you will BE HAPPY after that.

Nice job on your video. One point I noticed, Android S/E button selection, gives more options simple vs. expert mode. Blank screen areas are toggled on and off.

To change the Q on the EQ, just use a horizontal "pinch" (two fingers going away or towards each other).

Using just my android app offline on my note 3, but to change the Q value, just press twice on the freq and hold. Slide it up and down. Keep the videos :) thanks for knowledge.

Press the S/E button at the top on Andriod, it means Standard/Enhanced (rather than advanced they use enhanced!) Thats how u get to the extra settings.

To change the fx hold on the fx. I can recommend Behringers youtube channel, it has some great intro videos to show you how to use the apps. I've been using the android app both on a phone and a tablet and it works great.

In  gate mode goto advance. for more settings options, goto SE at top of Android screen.

Thanks for the comparison. If you are seeing your meters moving on the tablet then you are connected no need for a separate indicator. I had the same thoughts and found that although thier is some lag, it really becomes noticeable the more devices that are linked to it, Not sure if changing to the wlan and a router will help but may since most routers are setup for high network traffic and this I would assume is not.  also absolutely no audio, what so ever is being feed to either the Apple or Android products, it just acts like a big dynamic remote control. I have a laptop right on top of the unit and adding the android to the network makes it lag as well.

You can change the Q of the eq, on the android by pinching, and expanding your fingers sidways, on the freq.

touch FX, pick the first fx unit, there are 4. pick first one but hold finger on image, a window will pop up with all the rack FX units and you can choose any one, and the change  the next one to what you want and so on, then save the change re name and before going off line, save the show with a new name also. then pull up preset of  settings

Hi anyone had problems using both iPad and android at the same time? I'm on the XR12 struggling. If one goes to sleep, a relaunch of app looses wifi among other problems. Mick

Hello behringer why are customers returning this gear the mixer xr18? Is it due to audio quality ? Or not too much warm natural sound output, or constantly discomfort of wifi disconnecting and or not being able to have subwoofer ouputs on this mixer ?

Hi  The fine tab allows you to change the speed or amount the faders change as you slide your finger on the fader to adjust levels, , You got a cool band.

Figuring out the routing is only a bitch until you get familiar, then it becomes very intuitive. You will find that the learning curve is very steep initially until you can wrap your head around their routing and general use concepts.

thank you! I was about throwing my ipad away! and go for an android. I thought it was my ipad. I used the android version from my cellphone and got better response. Do you know if the ipad version has been updated lately. or the android? Because indeed, the ipad version is more eye friendly, but the android is more reliable. you are right. Thank you for this video, it has been very helpful!
