Hi,

It was a great share! I have been trying to improve the mixing process and I am sure this tutorial will be a great help! A friend of mine watched this and suggested it to me as well. On the first watch, I find this helpful, but I will be following through to see if I can do it myself. Thanks a lot for sharing this, it was a very helpful video, and I am looking forward to trying it out soon.

Just a helpful suggestion: for future videos like this, turn the auto-focus off on the camera pointed at your tablet. There's no need to have it on because the tablet isn't moving, so the focal distance is always the same. Auto-focus is always looking for something to lock on to, so as you change between screens, the auto-focus loses its mind until you bring something back for it to lock on to. Your hand movements also affect what it tries to grab, which also affects what's on the screen. And yes, it's now 2024 so maybe an updated video with the newest app version would be cool!

Thank you for your video. Just wanted to say I have been using the XR 18 for a few years now and the built in effects (the ones I have used) are fantastic. I think you should give them another try. Having 4 effects slots and being able to route them to each and every channel, or not, saves tons of money, cabling and hardware. I will typically run two different reverbs, a shorter one for instruments and a longer one for vocals and a delay in third slot. The reverbs and delay I use the send and return method so I have total control over how wet and dry each channel is. On the fourth slot I run the stereo multi band compressor inserted on my main left and right master outs. They work amazing for me, just saying.

Just started watching, but I think the reason that your x-air app didn't connect to the mixer was because the IP wasn't correct. By default, your router dynamically assigns the mixer an IP address when started, and your app still had the IP from the last time. (I used to use my iOS device to find what the current IP was and then set it in the Android app.) To avoid this, set the mixer to a static IP in the router. Then it will always match, the app should find the mixer straight away. I hope I explained that well!

Maybe do a tutorial on the current version of the app (1.6.5), that was out months before this video? The latest app is TOTALLY different than this app.

Hi, I just purchased a Behringer Air X18. I tried finding the app in my play store but I only see Air X-Q. From reading the reviews I'm not sure if I should download. Was there one before Q that was just X Air? I have an Android tablet I bought on Amazon and looking for an app to run X18. Thank for the help.
