I'm also Sephardic, but growing up, my siblings and I rejected a lot of the religion. However, seeing you make these kinds of videos sometimes has me tear up and miss my parents. you have a lot of joy and clearly find a lot of meaning in the religion and culture. Im in Montreal, I wish I could have shabbat with you!

I have been watching your videos, not necessarily in order, but slowly making my way through what is posted. I enjoy the videos, your commentary, your laugh and most of all, your positive and loving attitude. I am not Jewish, but I really do feel that I have learned so much that is just plain common sense and also about good, clean, healthy living, eating and celebrating a good life. Please keep up the good work, you are a true blessing to all who encounter you.... "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." This is what comes to mind whenever I watch one of your videos. :)

When I babysit my niece, I tuck her in bed with the words “I love you more than chocolate “ so she knows that I love her very much. Sometimes she’ll respond with “I love you Auntie, more than chocolate too. “. One time she told me that she loved me more than macaroni and cheese ( her favorite food). I felt so loved

Thank you for telling us about the chickpea skins!!! I’ve always liked them be avoided them because the gas can be painful for me. You’re a good doctor to give me a solution for that problem - you weren’t even in your office! Ha!

I love Shabbat prep! 😂 Seriously, it’s so fulfilling, and lovely, and it fills me with such joy, because everything gets done, and then come Friday evening, I can finally just sit down with my family, in a clean house, with yummy food, and recharge my spiritual batteries (and often, Shabbat is the only part of the week where everyone is together, and so those family times are just…oh, so so wonderful and fill my heart with joy).
