It's TOO MUCH (2 Weeks of Gacha News)

Zenless Zone Zero, Love and Deepspace, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves- so much stuff has been coming out, and I can't keep up with it all!
I'm not gonna bother making 10 minutes videos about something which can be explored within 30 seconds, so here is a quick recap of at least 2 weeks worth of Gacha news, updates, drama and hot takes all in one short video.

I've commented in other videos, child characters make a lot of sense in the war-torn WuWa world. There are a lot of war orphans already, and I'd bet these children who were awakened early would be used as child soldiers. They could also be used (involuntarily) in experiments to create more or stronger soldiers.

I share your sentiments on the design. This will undoubtedly bring all those weirdoes out of the gutters.

Lemme clarify the situation, I just feel that your disinterest is so nonsense. if you doesn't like youhu, you can just skip her, you can just not use her as your party. It's that easy.

You say it's weird to have character like this in post-apocalyptic games? i don't think so, because as long as there are humans alive, there will be children. And I respect with your opinion but this is fantasy game, where children can have superpowers and defeat tacet discords, it's a normal thing on fantasy game, especially wuwa. Youhu is created and released on this game is for age variety and for the player itself. Wuwa is a 12+ games, so of course there's a kids who play this game that maybe prefer cute or child character in game like youhu, verina or encore. Not just that, but there's also a player who like cute or child character normally too!

I did tried my best with ZZZ but just cant stand it after WUWA. The only thing that I really do think for their game was the way they told the story ( the manga panel ) but aside from that nah.. and with regards to revenue, I dont even look on those since its just pointless especially if your not playing that game anymore. As long as KURO can garner enough for the game to last long then I think its fine.

Where are you getting the idea that it's normal for game devs/publishers to listen to their customers? That's incredibly rare these days! That's why people all over are singing the praises of Amazing Seasun Games (Snowbreak and Mecha BREAK). Gacha games in general have been much better at this, and not just for the fanservice parts. At least the ones I'm playing.

ps, As a leg man myself, while I don't have any great affection for feet (no fetish in that regard), I can tell you that I think my appreciation for pretty feet is more due to them being at one end of a leg, and how much ugly feet can kind of be a turn off there.

the choice about skins colors is not weird from a business perspective, its in fact obvious if you are used to manga. Colors has never be a selling point.
Ppl said "white washing" but its manga, its gacha game ... where are the white ppl ? Its Asia guys, not Occident ! Asia market first, global after and the criteria are the same, color skin will not make money. The mass marketing is address to the mass population which is ? Asia and Occident ! No mystery, no racism, just money.

I love HSR and its lore but I have to agree with their story telling (Genshin has the same issue indeed). I'm pretty patient with the game since I enjoy HSR a lot, but the latest story quest with the Xianzhou is probably one of the worst I've experienced so far.

Like, I regret watching the story trailer because it was basically a condensed version of what happened in the story quest and when I did it, the pace was just too slow. There was just a lot of bloat and unnecessary/uninteresting parts IMO. I think they could've shortened the Yanqing/Yunli and March training portion of it so we could spend more time in The Shackling Prison, the part that was actually interesting.

Sadly, by the time I got hyped up, the story quest was over and I have to wait until next patch for the actually interesting story to get started.

Fyi ZZZ art lead is an infamous nsfw l○licon called WaterKuma (who also follows accounts that post 'realistic ai generated images' of such content, so the guy is absolutely attracted to irl children not just 2d lines, and is probably a predator). I was revolted when I learned this, and with ZZZ having tons of young girl style characters, I completely quit following Mihoyo games. It also recontextualizes all Mihoyo young character designs as definitely intentionally creepy (and not questionable) so... yeah.

Just to let people know that Mihoyo hires creeps to lead one of thier new games. It is a shame, really.

3:32 theres a reason fot that, in Honkai universe (HI3rd), Yanqing's wife is said to be Yunli. The community right now are meme'ing both of them as a couple as Shes apparently Jing Yuan's granddaughter.

Also true, like it was foreseeable that WuWa would ruin the Genshin experience for rather obvious reasons, but I was actually shocked when I played the HSR story recently... and I really just CAN'T with that kind of story-telling anymore. People standing stiffly in front of each other talking to each other for hours with little to no movement... God, it's just bad, no matter how interesting the content of the conversation is or isn't. It's just difficult to sit through.
