I switched to K&N and a bowling ball slipped right past the filter into the upper intake then struck the engine pistons down for a perfect 300.

Dont compare it by testing how much air flowing, compare it by how the filter clean the air .
Just try to put some ash, dust into your filter,
And suction it

Put over 300k miles on two separate Toyota Tacoma trucks with the 3.4 v6 with K&N filters. Apparently both trucks missed the memo that the filters will supposedly cause the engine to detonate.

Keep in mind the more air flow you get the more debris can pass by also.

I loved my K&N filter until I worked at a quarry, the fine dust nearly killed my truck and had to switch to paper. K&N is alright if you’re a road warrior or never go anyway in the south west

High performance air filters are designed for full air introduction at the cost of filtration. For a race car it’s fine as you can afford the constant maintenance but for a regular car this will lead to fine particles ending up in your engine.

What everyone forget is that the KN filter has bigger and looser holes. Meaning less restrictions to air flow but on the other hands. It doesnt suck debris into the vehicle. Thats why they put oil onto the filter so any dirts will eventually get stuck on it.

Use K&N if you want air. Use Purolator if you want clean air.

I get that the filter is supposed to filter the dirt but i think some of you miss the point of it also sounds and usually performs better. Filtering qaulity though is pretty good ive been running mine since i got the car almost 2 years and havent had a problem and thanks to a retune even gained a few horsepower which was kinda the whole point😂😂

Same for dust and other heavy particles from the air.
Use the reccomended air filter, k&n are just for racing purposes /racing engines!

Those who ate talking bad about free flow air filters are the one who have never used one. I am using one for the past 1 year and few of my friends are using for the past 3 years but everything just seems great. depends on how it was fitted. people have done zanskar ( full of dust) trips on it and yet it worked well.

Have used K&N filters on all my bikes over several decades, never had any problems, &, i keep my bikes.
