I know its bad to attach emotion to vehicles, but it genuinely hurt my feelings when I got rid of my Avalon. 428k miles and still ran fine when it left. You learn what your car can do, its noises, its personality. It takes you to work, it carries your kids, it gets your wife to the hospital to have your first child. When you get a good one, you love it. Happy Easter everyone.

Been using K&N for 35 years and never had any problems with them. They do help with more HP and they help with better gas milage and I think they clean better than a paper filter.

I've been using the K&N filter since about 40, 000 on my 1997 4Runner. Right now I've got 376, 000 miles on it. Still runs very good. Gas mileage has dropped about 1 mpg at highway speeds and it uses about 1/8 inch of oil based on the dipstick mark. This is with oil changes done at 7, 000 miles. I clean the filter once a year during the summer. The summer heat seems to be the best way to quickly dry the filter after cleaning. I've had oil analysis done when I first started using synthetic oil and the silicon levels were good.

I've been using k&n air filters for almost 30 years. Great filters! And yes, it is minor but it does increase mpg and power.

I've had a K&N filter that was on my Camry for 150K miles and when it started to crack around the gasket I took a picture of the problem and they sent me a new one. This was after like 9 years of use! I only use the K&N filters in all my vehicles. Save your old paper one so when you have to clean it you can just drop the old one in while its drying.

I have been having issues with my truck losing power and I remember that it worked fine after I filled up with gas! Thanks for that advice!

Before I bought a new car, I had 212, 000 miles on a Lexus GS400 using a K&N air filter from the very beginning. Did not use any oil between 6, 000 miles synthetic oil changes. I have used K&N filters on my vehicles for more than 25 years without any problems with the motors nor their throttle bodies, all ultimately high milage, and I clean the filters about every 30, 000 miles. Great air filters, and in the great majority of the hate videos, well, you already know my opinion.

Well said Scotty, my car has 250k on it and it's had k&n all its life. The thing is, I take it out every 5000k oil change to clean and oil it, people seem to think they can leave them for 20k+ then when they have engine problems, they blame the product because they failed to read the instructions.

My dad and myself haven't had any problems with K&N at all, been using them on everything we drive, since 1994. The thing I see from everyone is "can" and "if" well "if" you take care of your car it "can" last longer then it There have been third party testing done, but they over oiled the filter or ran it completely dry, that causes the problems not doing things properly and letting it dry for as long as it says in the directions.
Great vid as always Scotty.

Thank you Scotty for all of your videos. You have taught me so much that I will never get ripped off by a used car salesman or mechanic ever again! I now have the confidence to understand my car and how to make it last. It's one of a man's most expensive investments, and now I no longer live in constant worry. I can take care of things if my car gives me issues.

I'm definitely emotionally attached to my car and I will never change that, it helps me feel better when I spend money on it lol also makes me perform maintenance on time because I care more about it, maybe its just me but a car is a huge part of many peoples lives and it makes sense to feel emotion towards it even if it is an inanimate object

I love your videos Scotty. Watching your videos is very educational and thanks to you, I know which makes of cars are endless money pits, and which ones are utter junk, like those from Fiat-Crylser. I'll keep watching your videos so I can make informed decisions whenever I do buy a vehicle. Keep up the great work!!
