Needed to replace my iPad 6, was a toss up between iPad 9 and the new mini. Well went for the mini and am so glad of my choice. Love the smaller physical size but am not missing the larger screen of iPad 6. So much more comfortable to have on lap while on the sofa.

After two weeks of use, my Mini 6 is my favorite apple device to date. It’s the perfect balance of performance and form factor. I use it mostly for consuming content and for docking to my Mavic 2 Pro controller. I think the UI scaling problems will be fixed making it even better. Apple really knocked it out of the park with this new iPad mini 6.

I agree the mini 6 is a great ipad, I actually sold my ipad pro 11 inch and bought the mini 6, main reason was I found the ipad pro to uncomfortable to hold after 30 minutes or more of use, I got hand and arm strain, so after researching hundreds of videos on the mini 6 and testing it in a few stores I realised this is the perfect form factor for my needs and I was right, it's absolutely perfect!
I don't notice any jelly scrolling as I don't read whilst swiping really fast? The buttons ie the volume button placement doesn't bother me as I just swipe down in control centre to higher or lower the volume, I suppose it's just what we are used to for years ie it being on the side etc, but it doesn't bother me at all. I can't really fault the ipad mini 6 to be honest I really enjoy using it.
One slight gripe it would have been good if Apple started with 128gb storage instead of the 64gb, but I guess they thought we won't sell that many 256gb so they just started at 64gb I suppose, but would have been nice to start at that 128gb for sure. Alot of people are saying it's a shame it didn't have pro motion, I agree but it's not a deal breaker for me, it was nice to have on the ipad pro 11 yes but I have to say after using the mini for over a week now I don't miss it at all.
To the people thinking about getting the mini 6, I would highly recommend this ipad.

I love Touch ID. When my iPad is laying on my desk for note taking, having to lift it to unlock with Face ID was frustrating. One of the main reasons this iPad Mini is replacing my iPad Pro for note taking.

Absolutely love my Mini! Bought it the second it hit the stores here in China, and have used it daily ever since. Now it's become the go-to presentation device for all the teachers at my school when we have parent meetings and other VIP events — which is great, except that it means I'm without my iPad every time we have a meeting!

One of these days, I'll probably want an iPad with a larger screen for creative output. But as a Procreate beginner, I've loved the Mini so far. The fact that it can handle fairly heavy-duty graphics work while still being small enough to act as a steno pad is utterly amazing.

2:00 I like the way you can just type using your thumbs using the on screen keyboard just like when using iPhone. This means you don’t have to carry around Bluetooth keyboard.

I think iPad mini 6 is the best choice because of the size it’s so comfortable if someone had all the iPads I guarantee they would use the mini the most!

This is my first ipad since the ipad mini 1. I was really torn between the iPad 9 and the mini 6, and right after I choose the mini 6 this, Youtube really started pushing those “it’s been a month and now I hate the ipad mini 6” type of videos to the point I started to second guess myself and search for ways to maybe potentially sell mine. But this video has been a super huge confidence boost for me. Thanks to you, I have fallen in love with my iPad over again all thanks to you.

Ever since the first iPad mini came out, it was my main goto machine. Perfect for travelling (especially on long flights) and basically every day use. I upgraded to the mini4 and have not upgraded since it does everything I need it to do. However, now as I am doing more photo and video editing with my iPad Pro, I am seriously considering upgrading my mini4 to the mini 6. Most of the reviews have been positive with it regarding to light photo and video editing. Perfect for "on the go" instead of waiting to get back to my desktop or lugging around the iPad Pro. Thanks for the review - especially the "jelly roll" comments. I agree, unless I am a super fast reader, the "jelly" effect will be a non-issue for me. Keep up the good work!

I use my ipad mostly for watching videos and playing games. Seriously considering this ipad mini, however, after testing it out at the apple store, its a bummer to me that the display just feel lacking compared to so many other models in 2021 context.

I agree, the new iPad mini is great and yes, I was able to implement it into my regular life, even though I have a full-size iPad 11 Pro. Also, nah, you’re not the only one! I also find myself wanting Face ID too and doing the same thing you do when I use my mini.

Just ordered the Mini to replace my 12.9” iPad pro, laptop and desktop! After trying it in a store, and testing iPad as a desktop machine per your recommendations. Thanks! I use my work issued Macbook with an external display at work and working from home, and 90% of my work is in browser cloud apps - programming and all. So I will be able to leave my heavy Macboook at work, the days I work from home. Now I just need cloud based 3D printing.
