I never realized how freakish the music is. It definitely adds to the ambience to make you unsettled and not really sure where the store is going.

I love that Vera Miles didn't mind being an unlikable killer. Good on her. I heard she was a tough cookie on set, but likable in real life and professional. Great Joyce Van Patten performance too. Also liked her in Negative Reaction as the nun at the soup kitchen.

The casting for murderesses in Columbo like Lee Grant, Janet Leigh, Lindsay Crouse, Helen Shaver and especially Faye Dunaway has always been top notch.

The Anne Baxter one is so neat in a way. In some ways, it's "All About Eve" all over again

My favorite episode, where the culprit is a lady : "Try and catch me" starring Ruth Gordon

That blue was popular in decor in the early 70s.

There were other times when the killer was a woman. The very first Columbo episode where a woman was the murderer I saw, was the one with Trish Van Devere who kills her boss so she could get his job. It will always be my favorite female murderer episode.

I've seen that TV series more than 10 times, I love Peter Falk. His wife is also amazing in this TV series. I also saw the play Prescription: Murder, which was performed in Prague years ago (in Czech, of course), it was very nice.

Peter said the primary suspect / guilty party being interviewed by Colombo was like being pecked at by a duck. TERRIFIC (just TERRIFIC).

Ruth Gordon and Janet Leigh were the two characters I felt the most sympathy for, and they aren't in this clip

What about when vera miles said everybody knows I'd never hurt a fly?

In the first clip she suddenly realizes it is Columbo, and yet despite that still points a gun at him. What did she hope to gain? That was foolish of her, Columbo could arrest her for that alone, threatening the life of a police detective. If she went through with it and killed him how would she dispose of the body and clean up any blood? She obviously acted on impulse without thinking it through.

The pearl does a falling noise, put the floor is cover whit carpet, strange sound effect, is like in other movies, you see a car burning tire treats and is a dirt road. Strange.. indeed..

How many times are you gonna reupload the same video? This is the 3rd time, without any attempt to cut or arrange it differently.

Ttv was one clasie back then, great acting, whit great distinctive posture and class, whe don't see this kind of programing anymore, just dating games, or reality shows, that every one talks trash and who talks more trash is more popular, , in a way things were better back then, ..
