I'm not arguing in defense for the councilwoman, but the cyclist isn't innocent either. He went though a red light. Those that operate vehicles on the road have a obligation to follow the rules of the road, including cyclists.

Dumb cyclist ignores all the stopped cars, ignores the red light, and now is suing $1million for injuries?? Driver was wrong for leaving scene but that stupid cyclist deserves nothing. He should just be thankful he is alive and not ask for anything further.
