NOT here from any classes, I simply started CARING when my mental health started going down without me even noticing. And despite me already knowing most of the info here, I appreciate reminders!

Sometimes in life we're not motivated to take care of ourselves and think of the benefits in the long run, yet this is a good reminder for when we are ready to make a change.

I first came to this revelation when I started doing humanitarian work in developing nations. The people I encountered, despite their dire conditions (based on American standards) they seemed genuinely happier and less depressed. I'd spend 10 days in their communities. Moving and working constantly. Very little access to technology. Fresh air and sunshine. My food access was mostly grilled meats, vegetables, and fruit. We drank bottled water. And we worked all day with groups and had real human interactions. At night, due to all of the physical exertion, we slept hard.

After 10 days of this, I'd feel amazing. Flying back into an American airport and looking around at all the visible depression and anxiety...it really started opening my eyes.

Our "advanced" lifestyle is killing us.

Thank you, the sleep info is helpful (especially for students). This advice applies to so many of us.

Hey I really liked this video and it was quite informative and I would like to use this as a ground base of a school project. Could I perhaps have the sources you used to make this video? Would be a great help. Thanks in advance

It’s good for those that want to help themselves or realize they have depression, or other mental illness. What about the population that have no idea?
