When I watched the E=Mc2 documentary. They said Michael Faraday was the son of a blacksmith and he was a bookbinder by profession. Not a physicist. He had a passion for science and by chance got a job as a lab assistant with Sir Humphrey Davy. Thats when he made the discovery NDT is talking about!
