In any case, the unallocated space is not on the right behind the C drive. You can not add it to the hard drive because the Extend Volume is greyed out. If your unallocated space is adjacent to C drive, you can get Disk Management to move unallocated space in Windows 11/10.

The option for extend the volume is unable inspite of having unallocated space

Solution when extend button will not show

Point to be noted the drive that you delete must next to C drive.

If it next to other drive then extend option will not blink

Nearly got so close to making this work. But then the volume wouldn't let me increase, but I got as far as making my USB flash drive black colour. If this would of word for me I would have been so happy. But I got unlucky wish this would work for me🤷🏿‍♀️.

For those who can't extend the space even if u have unallocated space, do the following...

Convert the unallocated space to allocated space...for example turn it into drive F....

Then copy all of the files from the existing allocated drive which is displayed next to the C drive( for example D drive) to this newly allocated drive F....

Now delete the old allocated drive D...( Make sure u copied all the files to new drive F)....

Now since the unallocated space is next to drive C, u will be able to extend drive C with the space u deleted from drive D...

Hope this helps...

Could you use a D drive to stash data accessed by software in C drive? Doing this, you can upload your heavy-consumption software (video editor, DAW etc) to "C" and direct these softwares to save/retrieve from "D". What say?
