I am 6 months from 65 and trying to educate myself on Medicare. Part D seems like it was deliberately designed to be confusing. Both myself and my wife are not taking medication but I see the wisdom in getting covered. As we age, if disease comes are way our ability to comprehend a plan like this will probably diminish as well. Is there a better plan or way than this?

Here's the million dollar question that isn't answered anywhere . Does Medicare itself have a Part D plan that isn't through any private company, but through Medicare alone ?
