JB Reviews The Matrix Resurrections Movie and compares to the original Matrix Trilogy. For those of you who don't know, I am a fan of the original Matrix Trilogy which included The Matrix, Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. Now, i am not like some kind of cultist but merely interested in the story and where it went. What is the Matrix Trilogy? Three movies that introduced bullet fighting scenes but also played with your mind. The main actors are: Keanu Reeves who acts as Neo or the One, Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the new Morpheus. I went to see it yesterday on the big screen with only six other people in the whole cinema. I remember when the Trilogy first came out I could not even get a seat because the cinema was packed to the max. If you have not seen the movie or the Trilogy then stop here because I am going to reveal spoilers about it. So, are you a Matrix fan? Did you see Resurrections? Do you have a different take on it? So I looked at Matrix Resurrections for a second time and this time I have warmed up to it. It is a Matrix movie BUT there are two things that they really could have left out because they seemed like cheap shots. The first being the references to Warner Bros., calling the game "The Matrix" and other Deadpool like references. Even the Frenchman leaves the stage making a hint about variant sequels. The other was the fight scenes. They were too close up and lacked definition. What made the fight scenes in the other Matrix movies so interesting is the slow motion and full view so you can actually see what was happening. In Resurrections the fight scenes are largely garbled. That Tokoyo train scene was a real wasted opportunity to make it a brilliant combat sequence. If you saw it a second time did your view on the movie change?

I have not seen the new Matrix movie yet but I have been seeing a lot feedback about it online. I appreciate the review. I may check it out on my tv rather than on the big screen.
