With his previous avatar destroyed at the end of The Matrix Revolutions, Smith has been resurrected in a real body vessel and reintegrated into the Matrix, having lost his ability to replicate himself, Smith nonetheless has retained all of the memories of his previous incarnation, including his freedom from the system of the Matrix, The Analyst brought Smith back for one purpose: to keep tabs on Neo and ensure that he is unable to leave the Matrix again....

Dude, this would've been such a great matrix sequel plot where the story follows Agent Smith somehow reprogrammed to be a normal civilian in The Matrix as he slowly remembers his past and gets his powers back or something, what a missed opportunity!

People took agent Smith for granted... Agent Smith is easily top 10 antagonist of all time, making a another edition/ reboot to a franchise without keeping that in mind was designed to fail

The fact they committed to the sacrilege of having a new actor play Smith (and Morpheus as well) was insane to me. I get the concept of a new matrix but if you're going to have Keanu and Carrie reprise, do the same for Smith and Morpheus or don't do it at all.

That would have been incredible. The machines gave Smith what he wanted, he believes he's a human then discovers the matrix, his memories, and realizes he's a program. That would have been a far superior concept to explore than what we got.

What's the scariest about Smith is how monotone and calm he is towards everybody. You expect him to be so angry and hotheaded. But that's how he plays with your mind.

Matrix Resurrection will be such a jaw dropping film, I have a feeling It's going to revive the franchise. Wait what's that? The film's already out?? Oh yes, I remember I deliberately erased It from my memory.

I would have loved something like this. Same exact actors years later, maybe Smith being reprogrammed to be a security agent ad the office Neo was an employee for...
Then one day, a package arrive, he stops the courier and asks "who's this package for?"
And the courier: "A certain... Mr. Anderson".

And boom, he remembers.
