Have owned mine for 6 months & love it. I've driven manuals for 30 years. Did I want a manual? Yes. Does it bother me that it's not 1? No. I would have definitely lost my licence by now if it was a manual. It's a very enjoyable cruiser & if I need to give it a squirt, it'll do the job.

The Subaru Performance Transmission is what the CVT should have been from the beginning. I believe nobody would hate it that much.

CVT is a dealbreaker for me. Something about the punch of gear shifts is simply too enjoyable to give up.

I'll give up the quad exhaust for the Wagon but we keep the 6 speed manual. I'd buy one tomorrow if they sold the wagon in manual in the USA. We only get the sedan in both manual and auto transmission.

They discontinued one of the best transmissions out there. This thing is a test. Next gen is cvt only suv that sounds like this. Then they'll probably just dump it if they ever go full ev. I'm 41. I wanna buy a base VB WRX in a couple years and run that shit til I retire.
