This is a good way to trigger low speed pre-detonation (lspd) in a direct injection motor. For those with a VB, please do not accelerate like that in 6th gear.

DO NOT LOAD FULL BOOST INTO YOUR ENGINE BLOCK IN 6TH GEAR THAT IS HOW YOU FIRE THE BROADSIDE CANNONS

HORRIBLE thing to do to a turbo car. You have GEARS for a reason. Lugging a turbo engine is worse than redlining it on acceleration. The back force against the increased boost is a recipe for early engine failure.

What a terrible thing to diss the WRX (or any turbo car) on.

The WRX likes rpm. If you're trying to get up and go and you're starting below 3k you're doing it wrong.

It's not fully opening the throttle because between the steering wheel and seat, there are some loose screws attempting to lug an engine 😂

Yah, whenever I’m stopped at a light, 6th gear never gets me going fast again. I hate how sluggish 6th always is.

I'd prefer to have good fuel economy in 6th than be able to pass someone quickly. If you need to pass, downshift.

That’s crazy. I can pass in 5th gear with a 200hp Inline-6.

Naturally aspirated with a some good torque though.

It's almost like that's a overdrive gear
