ECU/Throttle Reset on Mercedes

How to reset the ECU and Throttle on a mercedes.

Cold engine?hot engine?
Need to switch on air con and light ?
Seems to me that this would affect the reset

My dad has a 02 c240 he bought used we have changed the plugs but the issue we are having with it is if we go to pass someone we cant it like chokes itself out but if your just driving an slowly give it gas itvdoes fine any suggestions

I have a 1997 mercedes benz s320 and it wont start. Changed spark plugs. Coils. Ignition switch. No start. Injectors changed. Pump and new gas in it. No start. But does try to turn over. Would this fix it or could it be another issue.
